Question Can Normals Have Morph Traits?

    Hi all

I was wondering if normals can show traits that morphs can carry. I've seen a few posts where users have posted pics of their balls wanting to know if you thought they or normal or not.

The reason I ask is that I picked up Delilah not so long ago and after handling her this evening I noticed 2 white patches on her side, also what looks like flames running up her sides

I bought with the understanding that she's normal, she is an 07 I think and is about 360g.

As far as I'm concerned she's normal. I did not get her from a petstore or a breeder so the guy who I bought her from (who was a general collector - had boas, burms, corn, ratsnakes as well) may not even have known if she was het or otherwise. I actually picked her up cause she was the biggest of the two he had.

    Here she is

I'm expecting y'all to agree that she's normal, but any comments, ideas or thoughts would be most welcome...

I'm not by any means the best person to answer this but you seem to realize that if a snake is het for a simple recessive trait that it will have a normal appearance. I think that you are asking about possible visual indicators. People refer to these as "markers" and this is not a specific science. You can do a search for visual markers and learn more without being misled or confused by me.

OK, so it ain't a precise angle to follow then. Some examples that markers are true and some that shows they ain't.

Seems the best way to find out would be to breed her and see what pops out....
