    Question Arrrrgh Help!

Ok so about a month ago I bought a hatchling BP (my first), the advert said that he had never eaten OR shed and despite the people who told me it's not a good idea to buy a BP that isn't feeding I did anyway... what can I say I saw the pics and fell in love!
I have tried a fair few times to get him to eat, pretty much every 4 days also different tactics but nothing so far has worked. Also I've never seen him shed, I've checked his tank thoroughly when I've cleaned him and there's not been any shed so I know I've not missed it. At the moment he's looking a bit dull and his head has had like an oily blue hue to it for the last few days! Although he is still lively he is spending more time than normal in his hide and less basking and roaming about. As you can probably gather I think he's about shed but at the moment I can't see any real change to his eyes.

If anyone has any tip/ideas please get back to me! I'm trying not to stress but its kinda happening anyway!
    Thanks in advance.

He is in the process of going thru shed. You should see the shed in a couple of days.

As for stressing, you need to give us a full report on the husbandry of your animal (setup, temps, etc) before anyone can pinpoint anything.

Yup, that snake is going to shed. Bump up your humidity.

Ok cool, so here's the set-up - 20"x16"x14" tank, Apsen chips for flooring, heat mat, cool hide, hot hide, water bowl and just added (bout 2 days ago) a hide with sphagnum moss in it to help if he is shedding and I almost forgot he's got a vine that goes the length of the tank. The hot point is at 92 degrees with air temp of 83 at the moment the cool point is at 80 air is looking like 77 but that thermometer sucks... need a better one! The humidity is at almost 54%.

    Hope that sheds a light

    Re: Arrrrgh Help!

If you cover three walls of the tank (if you haven't already), that should help a little bit with security issues.

You can also add crumpled newspaper to reduce visibility and make him feel more secure.

I would try to get the humidity up a bit, and don't bother trying to feed until after the shed.
