Yea... not axanthic. No matter, they look in need of some TLC. Best of luck

If you had to pay for them - it's not a rescue its a purchase. It's a nice thing to do - sure - but what you've really done is reinforced irresponsible behavior.

Aside from being skinny and a little belly rot - they don't look too bad - a few meals and they should be good to go. Bet the "axanthic" will color up real nice with some TLC.

    Good luck with them!

It does look to be brownish but really the lighting and and the pics didnt show the true color..
I would have taken pics outside but we had a gully washer come through and now the sun is gone and all rain. It really does look like the pic you showed. But then again I am only going off of what the shop owner said and he wasnt taken care of them at all.
So this morning the wife is calling and going to try to get them in.

I disagree. Only on the surface is it a purchase. At it's heart it is a rescue.

Well its like this. I let them sit and die a long miserable death. Because our state doesnt do crap for reptiles as far as protecting them. If I had the guts I would have beat the guy within a inch of his life for letting this happen. But I dont like violence and I dont want jail and our state bites with the laws till they change. I am going to be writing letters. So it is a save. I really had no room and didnt need or want the 2 of them. I really dont care if I had to pay or if they are normal or not. I just could not see them staying there suffering. It may have not been the smartest buy but I felt I had to do something. They will be loved just the same as all my other snakes..

    I agree ^^
The moment you chose to enter the store is the moment you took on responsibility for anything you might see.
You did take responsibility by 'saving' 2 snakes.
These stores will only go out of business when people stop walking through their front doors.

Re: Rescue.. Well here we go...

    it was a rescue.
    most def.

the guy who "took care" of them,
    left them in horrible conditions.

id "over-pay" for them, just to save them.
    its a axanthic.
looks just like the picture, but the pictures we took, dont show the true colors.

not only does its color look darker, but the rot and scabs, in the pictures, seem to look "better".

these pictures, dont show the snakes true colors.
