    See pic-Black Pastel, Red Axanthic

So I have looked around at I think all of the bp morphs around. I like some pastels, among others, but here is the one I think I like the most.

They label it as a black pastel, which as I understand it, is just the name for a really high contrast cinny. If someone could fill me in on this, that would be good. Also, I cant seem to tell much of a difference between the black pastels and the red axanthics. If someone could elaborate on this too, I would like it.

Also, I tried to find good fireball pics, and I am getting shots of a ton of way different looking bp's, so if someone can explain or show what a fireball should look like, that would be great too. Thanks a lot

Black pastels and Cinnys are two different lines, like the Lesser and butter. So no, a black pastel is not a high contrast Cinny. A het red is nothing like the two, when you breed the het red to het red you get red As.

Check out the Hunters guide to morphs. He goes over the differences between the two lines.

Red axanthic is nothing like a Cinny or black pastel, esp when homozygous.

Black Pastels have a Super that is almost solid black/grey with no pattern.

Red Axanthic supers have a grey background, but have a very busy pattern.

Fires are VERY light animals that get lighter and lighter as they age, and their super is a solid white animal with black eyes and red pupils, with yellow blotches along the body occasionally.

Re: See pic-Black Pastel, Red Axanthic

Yeah I know fires are bred into lucy's, and I knew about the homozygous form of the black pastel, I did not however, know about the super cinny.

If anyone has any pics of het red axan, red axan, or either of the super forms, feel free to post em up. Thanks

I read all of the info on het reds, cinnies and black pastels on the hunters guide, again. Now I can def say black pastels are my fav, not only because of their color and pattern, but the super form is also in my top three. (Black pastels, lucy's and blacks)

Thanks for the link, I only found one listing, but still useful. Males are 1500, females 2500.
