Soo i'm thinking a possible vet examination tomm!?
I was watching my snake for a little bit tonight, and he was laying on this big branch i have in the tank and just had his head straight up with nose almost touching the screen. It seemed like he was stargazing to me, he stayed in that position for close to a minute. Although i dont see any bubbly mucous or anything coming from his mouth im still slightly worried. I'm hoping that he doesnt have an RI. And ever since i got him and up til now one thing i notice is that he doesnt seem to flick his tongue all that much, he does on occasion but not a whole lot while he's out and about. So im thinking about taking him tommorow. The exam is $65, but for peace of mind i think it should be worth it. :/

thanks but the other thing that kind of worried me was that he doesnt flick his tongue all that much, he does, but not that consistently. And i read on someones post that the sheath that houses the tongue could of been affected in the past from mouth rot and thats why the tongue doesnt come out as much. And the fact that when my balls tongue does flick in n' out it doesnt come out that far. They said that might contribute to past mouthrot!? :/ Is this true?

Hi,
Have you any reason to think he has had mouthrot in the past to that extent?
