    BP mass and mass scales

    Hey everyone,

My friend and I are looking to split the cost of a digital scale to get some accurate measurements for the mass of our bps. Walmart sells a descent kitchen scale that is accurate to 1 gram, but has a capacity of only 11 pounds. I am not sure about the full grown weight/mass of a bp, but it seems like 11 pounds is pretty low. If so, does anyone have any suggestions for scales that would have a high enough capacity, keeping in mind we dont have much money.

    Thanks a lot

Lets just say, if you have a Ball Python almost 5000 grams then you need to check for Guinness Book Of World Records...lol. Up to 11lb. scale is fine. Unless you are planning to use it to weigh larger snakes.

11 pounds is almost 5000 grams... Unless you're dealing with some really big BPs, that would seem to be adequate.

Yeah, I just found a conversion into SI units, and as you said, that is a ton. Thanks, looks like that scale will be fine.
Nope, just a BP, and I doubt the bigger one is more than 350 grams or so. Anyway, once I found the conversion it was no problem, thanks everyone.
