Re: Uromastyx Info
Here is a good care sheet that should tell you what you need to know. I've used it for many years as a refresher.

Re: Uromastyx Info
Ooh, someone else who will be at the reptile show in Raleigh! I am sooo excited that it is almost here! Anyhow, I don't have a uro myself, but one my good friends has had one for a little less than a year. From what I understand, the uro's take a bit more work than some other species. I have a beardie, so all the care information I hear about Ariel (the uro) is related to me in relation to how I care for Yoshi (my beardie). I know that Ariel's temperatures have to kept in a more specific, higher range than Yoshi's do. I also know that my friend doesn't really handle her uro much for fear of stressing her out. To sum things up, just make sure you do your research, I know Uro's aren't really considered a 'beginner' species, and I know that different subspecies of uro's have different care requirements/temperaments (Ex- There is a subspecies that comes in blue, but they are harder to keep healthy and happy). Hope this helps!
Go NCSU Wolfpack!
