how long to shed?
My BP is in his first shed with me and I'm trying not to worry. His eyes went blue on Monday, but he has remained in his warm hide since then. There is no shed anywhere in his viv.
I've boosted humidity and left him alone. Shouldn't he be at least trying to shed by now? (4 days later)
When my corn snake went blue he shed a day or two later.
My BPs eyes are back to clear, should I get him out and handle him for a short time to get him active or just continue to leave him alone?
How long does it usually take from the time their eyes are blue until they shed?

Re: how long to shed?
it usually takes mine almost 2 weeks.if his eyes were blue monday he will probably shed around the begining of next week.look for his color to look almost normal after that happens it should be 2 to 3 days until he sheds

Re: how long to shed?
Mine is doing the same thing right now. It is my first shed with him, so I don't know to much about it. His eyes went blue Sunday, and now he looks normal again. The only thing that I've noticed is that his skin looks a little loose. I'm hoping there will be some skin waiting for me when I get home tonight!

Re: how long to shed?
The night I left this message I ended up with an extra rat fuzzy that my other BP refused, so I thought I'd give it to this BP. I lifted up his hide and found that he had a perfect shed balled up under him (no wonder I didn't see it)! I was so excited. With this being his first shed with me, I wasn't sure he'd have a complete shed, but he did!

Congratz! A perfect shed is a good feeling, and a reassurance that you're doing things right... Keep it up!
