    question on albinos

I am considering adding 1 or 2 albino ball pythons to my collections... not hets... but albinos.

My question is with the genetics of albino balls. I once had an albino corn snake, and it just wasn't "normal" it was a very difficult feeder, and generaly seemed unhealthy. I ended up trading it in after months of frustration. I don't know if some of the issues were related to the albino gene or not.

Are Albino Ball Pythons any different then Normals??? I mean as far as their eating, life expectancy, and overal health?

Any info you can give would be greatly appreciated.

My albinos are just like any other snake... They just look a bit different.

My albino female is a sweetie with a strong feeding response!! She has no health issues or any other issues!

    Re: question on albinos

My albinos are the same as my other snakes - they might have their individual quirks but then again all snakes do.

Yep, my albino rocks. No health problems, great eater and always gets the "ooohs" and "aaahs" when the friends come over.

Ours is pretty much like all the rest, but for some reason she prefers hanging out behind her hide instead of in it! That is fine with us as it gives us a better view!
