3 questions about the shedding process

Aright when my ball's eyes just started turning blue, and i had a few questions. Should i not handle it until after it sheds. Should i still feed it on time or wait until after it shed's to feed it. And when is the right time to give it a soak in some warm water.

I would wait until after it shed before handling. You can feed it now or wait, its up to you and if the snake will eat or not. If your humidity is spot on then there is no need for a soak, unless the shed doesnt come off in one piece.

My younger bp will eat during shed, but the older one will not. Just depends on the snake.

My pythons will permit handling except when they are in the deepest opaque and I never soak them because I bump the humidity up to help them have a complete shed. As for food, I always offer them their prey on feeding night and allow them to decide if they want to eat or not. I only have one female who typically will not eat during shed, but I still let her make that call!

I keep my snakes on cypress so I never need to soak them but if I were you I'd mist their enclosure daily once they turn blue until they shed out.

Handling while their in shed during the course of basic husbandry needs like cleaning ect ect isn't a problem.

I don't usually attempt feeding during shed, some will eat most won't from my experience. Good luck with em

I use newspaper in my rack so once they go in the blue i just mist them a little for a few days and they always shed perfect for me. Ive never been bitten and they dont seem to mind any more than usual about being handled during that period i just dont do it because i dont want to stress them any more than necessary.

what do you guys mean by mist? as in like spraying some water in the tank or what? and why shouldent i soak it

i have no idea.. but i know its fine because my tank stays at an average 86-92 degrees. and i always keep the water bowl completely full and i put a wet towel on top of the tank
