    Re: Rubber Boas

I have four Rubber Boas. Two males and two females. Here's a basic breakdown off how mine are setup. I use shoebox tubs with shredded aspen. I always have fresh clean water in there. I see them drinking a lot. I also buy little plastic trays (Usually meant to go under planters) and place them in there up side down. They always curl up under those.

Most people will say not to use any heat but I back heat those tubs with 3" flexwatt. The thermal gradient in the box is 77-78 at very back and 70-71 in the front. They do not require high temps.

They can be picky eaters. I have a male that has never refused a meal but I have a female that has only eaten a dozen times since August. They appear to grow very slow. Do a google search for rubber boas. There is a site by Ryan Hoyer that covers about anything you would ever need to know. Or PM me and I can give you the link.

They are cool snakes that I am going to focus my attention on. I plan on having a large group of them and doing some breeding.
