    Talking SHE ATE! Feeding update

    Nagini finally ate again!!

I did as directed and left her totally alone for a week, then just now offered her a recently weaned PK mouse in her tank (placed it near her with nose toward her head) and covered the tank then turned off all the lights except the moonbulb for the corn cage. Came back 20 minutes later and the mouse was gone! She was looking up at me with a 'Do you mind?' look.

Now, I just want to watch her and make sure that checking on her didn't startle her into tossing it back. I know I'm being paranoid...but when your young snake eats again for the first time in months...

Heh, and a bit of irony tonight: My ghost corn (a known pig) is in Blue and refused his meal. So the roles were reversed.

    Re: SHE ATE! Feeding update

    Congrats!

However, I am jealous. I have left Slyder alone for about a week now, and I don't like not being able to get him out. I know its for the best, but that doesn't mean I have to like it!

Also, I picked up some fuzzies yesterday. I'm hoping I'll have better luck with a little bit bigger prey. Slyder was more interested in the tongs I was using than the pinkie I was offering.

He is about 23" long, is a fuzzy mouse the right size prey, or do I need something even bigger?
