rat food

hello i am just starting to raise rats and was wondering what the cost of rat food i went to one of the local feed stores and fount "labDiet" rat formula for 38 dollars for a 50lb bag. i was just wondering about the cost other people pay for food and what brand. this was the only place i went to and i can keep looking or posibly request them to order in somthing else. one last question about how much food does a rat eat a day thaks

I buy Mazuri Rodent breeder 6F by Purina for about 20$ from the feed store for a 40 lb bag.

I have no idea how much my rats eat a day, they get their troughs filled once a week.
