    Triple het co-dom square!?!

reading in the nerd book doesn't have triple co-dom squares in there.

i don't think the double het recessive one works for co-doms. can anyone explain how to go about that square or has a link to something that could be helpful?

    Re: Triple het co-dom square!?!

If you read the Nerd website and explanation of genetics, they tell you how to create a double het punnet square. The same technique applies for triple, quadruple, etc.

You must first figure out all of the combinations of the genes, and place them into the square, and work it from there just like a regular punnet.

Here, this is a punnet square for a cross between 2 Het caramels, het hypo, het piedbalds. Possibly producing the famed Caramel glow piedbald! (The dreamsicle)

Sorry it doesnt have any co-doms in there, this was the only triple het animal I could think of.

Thumbs up Re: Triple het co-dom square!?!

Just by looking at it, I think some are missing. That looks like a double het punnet square I did today.

CPG, cPG, CpG Cpg, cpG, cpg

So it should be a 6X6 square instead of a 4X4. Am I right, or way off?

wouldn't that be a bigger square. I thought a triple het would have more possible combinations than that?

    Re: Triple het co-dom square!?!

In squares, co-dom is just the same as recessive and dominant in terms of making the square and filling it out. Co-dom just means it shows up in its het form. So a pastel is het for super pastel. Still shows up visually and is Pp in a square.
