icygirl why are locusts not allowed in the us? incase there released or something??

Sorry for the delay... guess I lost track of this thread. Honestly I don't know for sure, but I know that they can devastate crop fields if they get out. But then I wonder why you can get them in the UK? It's unfortunate; I've heard they're a great alternative to crickets.
