    Cooled female not eating

So I aquired a female that has spent some time in a facility that was cooled for breeding.

And I was told she ate last january 13th. So at this point she hasn't ate for almost a month.

She's now in her new home that isn't cooled. Standard 82 to 84 and 92 to 94 temps. Humidity 55%.

Setup just like I would any other ball.

But she refused food again tonight. My first feeding attempt with her. My question is. When people cool for breeding. Then set they're temps back to normal.

Any of them that went off feed. How long does it take em to get back on the wagon?

Any help is appreciated. Thanks guys and gals.

    Re: Cooled female not eating

This varies from snake to snake. When some females go into there cycle wether bred or not they will eat much less yet others keep eating. Let her settle in and try every week to ten days. I had a male that stayed off feed for almost 4 months after being cooled then started eating come summer like no ones business. Once you get to know your snakes you will be like there she goes again.

    That's what I'm gonna try.

I tried prekilling it too. She just wasn't having it. I left it there in her enclosure on the warm side. Ill leave it be overnight. If no avail, then ill try again next week.

    Re: Cooled female not eating

Well she ate last week. I don't know how. But she wasn't having it this week.

Ahhhh!!!! All my other snakes are great feeders!!!! Now this girl!! Haha

Everything is good setup wise. I just don't get it.

I've even got the room and cage on a timer for a 12/12 light cycle.

Should I just be trying every week? At this point its gonna get pretty expensively wasteful if it keeps up.

I've never dealt with a problem feeder before.
