    Pre-Lay Shed?

So, my girl stopped eating around dec 1st, so around the same time I started putting my mojave in with her. I didn't see any locks until Christmas, but since then I've seen around 6 or 7. She has eaten two weeks in a row, and is now starting a shed cycle. Could this be a pre-lay shed? Could I have just missed ovulation? I look at her all the time and never noticed a color change. How quickly does ovulation go by? Like a day or an hour? lol Oh, and her last shed was dec. 22. So what do you think?

seems like a normal shed cycle. if shes eating she prob not gravid.
some balls do eat after ovulation but it is more common for them not to

if you cant afford to take care of it, dont get it

It's possible. I'd be on the safe side and error to her being gravid. No harm if you're wrong and you'll be ready if you're right.

both of my girls would eat if I fed them. Have you seen any other gravid behavior? Wrapping the water bowl, laying on her side, etc?

It is possible that I saw her bowl wrapping, but her bowl isn't round, so its kinda hard to tell. Once she had half of her body around the bowl, and once she was laying completely on top of the bowl, partially in the water (which is something I've never seen her do before, and it was a while before she started her shed cycle).
