    how did you...

come up with your business name? What made you choose the name you have? How long did it take you to decide on a business name?

I've been thinking of names to use when I eventually do get into breeding bp's, but picking a name seems to stump me. Its so permanent, and I want it to reflect me, as well as what I'm selling. I'm getting whoozy trying to think of a decent name. So share your story and decision making please. thanx.

    Re: how did you...

It took me over a year to come up with Wildmorphs I started with something else then when I tried to register it that name had been taken

So I though HMMMM something that stands out and I tried loads of different combos of different play on words and so on before finding Wildmorph Pythons.

    Re: how did you...

I want to breed ball pythons as well and eventually make a small business out of it (maybe...we'll see )

My fiance and I were thinking about just using our last name. Clarke and since we probably won't limit ourselves to JUST ball pythons (cause I like other kinds of reptiles too. , even though we will primarily breed balls) to use Reptiles instead of Ball Pythons as part of our name. So we came up with Clarke Reptiles. How boring and unoriginal can you get?

    Re: how did you...

I just bought JWExotics.com. If I ever get a business license for a sole propriety I wanted my name to be in the title. Since I'm propagating orchids and breeding frogs and ball pythons (and geckos once I move) I called it Jake Wallace Exotics instead of Jake Wallace Ball Pythons.

What are these mojavas I keep hearing so much about?

Do you have to have a license to breed snakes? Or better question, do you have to have a license to make a business out of breeding snakes?

    Re: how did you...

thanx for the comments so far everyone, keep em coming. and I like the banners that are being shown in conjunction with their chosen business name. Jay, I know what you mean.. I want to have something simple yet unique as a business name, but thats whats stumping me as for having a license to breed snakes.. no I dont think so although checking with your state is the best course of action, but I do think you need a business license for tax purposes.. not sure how that works, something else I have to look into.

    Re: how did you...

it is important to get a business license in your state not only so you can pay your taxes but also so you can get your sweet business expense deductions

it helps to pick a name for which the .com is available, plus you will need to pick a unique name in your state
other than that, pick something short, memorable, and that you like

Do you really need a business license to pay/collect axes for a profitable hobby?
