    Boa's in a tub

    i've had this thought running threw my mind ever since i laid my eyes on my first boa. Can you breed boas in a rack. in my opinion i wouldn't i would get a custom cage for the boa and breed them that way but give me your guys opinion o yea and i'm talking about a red tail or albino boa

    freedom breeder makes racks for boa's, they are really big and expensive, if i remember correctly it consists of 3 or 4 slide out tubs on rails, that are 4x2 i think

    Ive been curious about the same thing is it ok to keep boas in a rack? How big is to big to be in a rack system?

    Depending the size of the boa you can keep them in racks no problem. Heck I know people who keep 5-6fters in CB70 Tubs. Now that isn't a lot of room for the snakes to breed IMO. I keep mine in 40in x 22in x 8in Tubs. Works out great for us. I keep up to 7ft 22lbs females in there. But another reason we can get away with it we don't like huge males. Our males range from 3-4.5ft. As I believe smaller males breed better then big ole lazy males. Now that is just my opinion. But ARS, FB and Vision all make racks for boas. Vision being the most affordable. But usually it is about the same price to buy a stack of 4' cages.
