A het with a preview lol. Thats a great explanation.

Re: What the heck happened here?

So there have been breeding results to show some paradox albinos only het albino?

Have there been results yet to show any paradox albinos not even het albino, just genetic normals?

One theory is that some paradox animals could be chimeras. This is when cells from two siblings merge to make one animal. If both siblings where normals or the same mutation you wouldn't notice the chimera. But in a clutch that can produce dissimilar siblings there is a chance of the chimera really standing out with part of the skin from the normal and part of the skin from the mutant sibling. If this is going on then there is no telling which sibling contributed the reproductive organs and it should be possible in some cases for a paradox to breed as a normal, not even het if it was produced from a het X het breeding.

I dont like the albinos at all, but the paradox albinos kick ass!
So if I want an albino for some combo projekts I will get a paradox. But I guess that they are a bit pricy

    I don't think that's correct.

As I understand it the paradox trait is not heritable, in other words it is not passed down. If what you were saying is true...i.e. a the normal gene was acting "incompletely dominant to
albino allele", then when you crossed albinos with paradox albinos, you would expect 50% of the offspring to be regular albinos and the other 50% of the offspring to be paradox albinos. Draw the Punnett Square and see what I mean.

I would so much rather have a paradox than a normal albino. I think they are awesome!

I have heard the same Ed. But I see your point Mendel. Albinos are the coolest! I am guessing that ringers are similar to paradox's? Or the same?

I was wondering the same thing about ringers. Anyone know?
