    question about how much to feed in a sitting???

    is a snake like a fish , such as if you kepp feeding them they will eat until they eventually die from over indulgence?????.....

    They are opportunistic feeders, however - once they've had their fill, they will then fast to allow their body to catch up.

    For consistent feeding, feed one appropriately sized prey item a week (if feeding rats). If feeding mice and your snake is older, then you can feed 2 a week as a juvie and move up to three a week if needed when larger.

    I feed rats to all but one mouser, who gets 1 mouse a week, because that's all he'll take.

    The ones that eat rats get rats that are not older than about 4 weeks old for the largest snakes.
