So second time feeding and it did not eat.
I fed it pre-killed hopper outside on the floor(on paper towels). I left he mouse there, dangled it, nothing.
Next time should I try feeding live inside it's enclosure? Or outside?
Is the myth about mistaking your hand for food if you feed it in true?

Re: So second time feeding and it did not eat.
Not much chance getting it to eat on the floor. They need privacy when they eat. Get you a small tuperware container and poke holes in the top, put the snake and food in it, cover it with a towel, cut the lights off and leave it alone. If the prey is prekilled leave it as long as you need to, if live make sure you lift the towel and check on it every 10 minutes or so. As for the myth...I don't think so, part of the feeding mode is smelling the food. Do you smell like a rat? I feed all my snakes in their living enclosure. Just always pick him up from behind.

Thanks, that's what I though. I'm still used to cornsnakes I guess.

Like I mentioned in a previous post, if your BP has been fed live until recently, I would highly recommend you to feed live for the next 3/4 meals (getting him to eat is your priority). Once he eats for you, you can than attempt to switch him (this can take time and result in several refusal as well), in the meantime make sure your husbandry is optimal

Yes it is a myth, BP do mot mistake you for food because you feed them in their enclosure.
Handling your BP prior to feeding time can be stressful and sometimes lead to refusal.

Yes, I was going to get live no matter what next time. I just wanted to try once more for sure.
I guess I'll also have to switch the aspen to newspaper. Don't want him to swallow any.
