Re: Westen Hognose
I have a wonderful hognose... a little over 2 feet.. super calm, docile, gentle (although a two foot snake isn't really a threat.. well... at least not a hognose)
BUT... I was being a bit careless one day *stupid me* and I managed to get myself bitten by her... ((Lucifer.. we thought it was a boy... and the name stuck)) she caught the end of my finger and her fang snagged me.. their fangs are located in the back of the mouth.. so it was pretty much a freak accident... but it swole up a tiny bit.. kind of like a bee sting... but less painful.. so if you do get bit, you'll be fine...
but you should definitely get one. They're wonderful snakes, really.

These kind of cases are very rare, so no one should be afraid of getting a hogger.
