ever taken your snake or lizzard to a vet that was not a reptile vet. LOL

just suerious is you like me had ever taken a animal to vet or a crappy reptile vet where 2 mins in to your conversation you realize you know a lot more about your snake or animal than they do. one time i took a sick turtle with a eye infection to a vet. he looked at her and was gone for a long time. i left the room to find him and guess what he was doing. he was in his office on the internet looking up turtle care and problems. he perscribed ( read to give me) some drops. keep in mind this is a 10 dollor turtle. the visit was 80bucks pluss 30 for the drops. wich learned late zoo-meds sell over the counter for 15 bucks. LOL

just wondered if anyone else had any funny stories.

that's more sad than funny. pretty expensive too for nothing, but regardless of the cost of the animal you have to be willing to pay for its medical expenses. i've taken animals i got for free to the vet and spent plenty of money to get them well--it's just part of responsible ownership.
