No, there is no visual way to determine a het for albino. Your best bet would be to do business with a reputable breeder. Do your research and ask for references.

    Good luck!

I think Jas has a secret, unless he was joking... I'm interested, but as far as I know they look the same.
What are these mojavas I keep hearing so much about?

There's no way to tell the difference, period.

And just a piece of unsolicited advice...you need to evaluate your goals with your group of snakes before you purchase a group of hets.

If your goal is PRODUCE albinos, buying a group of hets is the way to go.

If you are simply looking to OWN an albino, but the price tag deters you, and the cost of a pair of hets seems more reasonable...consider this:

I would argue that the cost of purchasing, housing, cleaning, feeding, and breeding a pair of hets in 2-3 years would be a lot more than the cost of an actual albino right now. There are a lot of hidden costs that your incur along the way that a new keeper couldn't even fathom right now. Not to mention, when you get to that point, you're only looking at a 1:4 chance per egg of getting an actual albino anyway.

    Just my .02....
    -Brad
