Re: New Addition :)
VERY nice orange colors there! Those will come out more as he grows.
If he is Columbian he is considered a BCI... Boa Constrictor Imperator

Thanks. The pics do him no justice as far as the pink goes. It got washed out by the flash.
I can't wait to start handling him!!

Thank you. I hope the come out more. He definitely has a lot of growing to do lol. He is less that 2 ft. If I remember right the breeder said he was born in march, it could have been earlier though. I have to look again. He had two I was looking at and one was older.

Re: New Addition :)
They are a blast to handle! You'll find they're a lot more curious about their surroundings than ball pythons... he will most likely be constantly moving while you have him out.
Enjoy him! He's a beautiful specimen! And a little attitude is not always a bad thing

So I have been told lol. I have heard from many people that they are pretty curious creatures.
I am really excited. This is my first snake larger than a ball, and I have been preparing myself, and reading a lot in the last couple years and finally decided to take the plunge.

Re: New Addition :)
I really need to study up on the boas. I really would love a dwarf and need to learn what lines are dwarfs and re-listen to the boa shows on reptile radio! LOL
He's gorgeous! I've always liked the boxy shape to boas, and adore the babies. I think seeing the two adult boas at the OKC zoo sort of scared me off from owning a BCI or BCC personally - those guys were monsters! LOL

Re: New Addition :)
Robin, I know what you mean lol. After holding a really large burm (and I know they are bigger than boas) I put it off another year. I just didn't feel like I was ready yet. After handling several more I realized that a larger snake is what I wanted. I just waited until I knew I was 100% ready, I couldn't have any doubt.
