Advice on the Albino
So after i return from my cristmas break i will be trading off my 2 rtb's, an adult normal female ball, and a sub-adult corn for a nicely started female albino to hopefully one day pair with my spider. Anyways, what are you're guys opinions on albinos? Certain moprhs act certain ways in general. Like my spider is absoulutly one of a kind. Are they typically good eaters, or do they act different? Most likely not, but since im getting one i'd like to make my self even more excited then i already am by hearing about yours. Also any pictures and weights are more than welcome.
Thanks and hope you all had a nice cristmas!

Re: Advice on the Albino
Personally I hate seing threads that start off "Im getting rid of X,Y,Z, to get A"... IMO if your getting rid of 3 snakes to get 1 are you sure you want to own snakes? Dont take it personal just how I feel about all animals not just snakes.... Anyways if your looking to get an albino look for one that catches your eye. There are many out there for sale and you might find a good price but make sure its the exact one you want. Feeding, pooping, personality... if its a ball its a ball... they all act the same (minus spiders n caramels with their spinning n kinks) they just look different. I dont own an albino but I look for ones that dont have white spots in the orange.. I might be a little on the picky side but If your gonna have it for 20+yrs you better make sure you like the way it looks.

Re: Advice on the Albino
Here's a pic of my boy, Frito. A lot of albinos' white start to turn to yellow as they age, but he's over two years old now and still has nice contrast. He's a great feeder, never refuses a meal, and just tame as a lapdog. He also sired my first eggs ever, so he's been a pleasure. They're a great investment morph, being recessive and all, even though prices have dropped... but they've lasted and will continue to last in the long haul, and everyone who's into snakes, Ball Pythons especially, will end up owning one. Good luck with yours, people will be envious

Its a shame you have to trade some to get your 'Bino . As for the Q , well there all diff' ! thats what makes ball pythons interesting . There like us in some ways, no two are ever the same . as for feeding well hey there balls ! some feed great some not so great. heres my July '06 female ,currently 780g.

Re: Advice on the Albino
He didn't say he was "getting rid" of snakes, he said he was doing a trade. People trade snakes all the time to other good keepers. It's a way to get into a certain morph without a large output of cash, it's a way to share genetics with others, it's a very common thing in this business/hobby. Personally I don't see an issue with it as long as you're sending the snakes to someone who'll care for them properly.

Re: Advice on the Albino
Im joining the air force and when i get diploited i wanted to make sure i didn't have any problems having someone take care of my snakes. I would have been happy with what i had. But my fiance will be the one taking care of my snakes she is not very fond of them, but she does know more about ball pythons than a lot of people on this forum (ha) because i'm always talking about them to her and she is willing to do it. So in order for this to work she made me trade more snakes for less snakes so she wouldn't have to take care of as many so i decided on an albino. And man i can not wait. What is wrong with trading snakes?

Re: Advice on the Albino
I dont think there is anything wrong with trading snakes but I personally dont know you and didnt know your plan until now... While I was reading your original post all I could think about is a kid who "i want this i want that" and get whatever he wants... ends up with a buncha snakes and now wants another one so hes gonna trade all his snakes away to get what he now wants. I'm glad this isnt the case and your doing it for a good reason. I see it all too often where parents buy thier kids a pet and they end up getting rid of it bc their bored with it and want something else. Make sure you post some pics of the new guy when you get him and thank you for your service!
