strange resting position
a bp that I work with was found in what seems to be an unusual resting position. I will try to get a picture up later. He is a young male, and was resting with his tail pointing straight up, similar to a rattlesnake when it rattles. Just wondering if anyone had any insight on this type of behavior.
thanks

Re: strange resting position
I've been known to be found upside down while resting so it doesn't sound abnormal to me if you just saw it once. Snakes do weird stuff for no particular reason just like we do. I could be wrong but I dont think theres rattlers in africa where BP's live? My answer is that its nothing abnormal.

Thanks, he was back to acting "normal" a while later. He is still young so i'm sure he's developing his own personality.

Re: strange resting position
My snake sometimes rests dangling from a vine or with his head and tail sticking out of his hide but the rest of his body hidden. He's afraid of water and likes sunbathing (only in the sun whilst handling, and is given the choice to move out of it). He aslo spends the night trying to exit through the air vents on the side of the tank, just turns it around a lot.
He also eats in the most peculiar positions which must make it harder, but he eats well so I don't worry, I guess it is just his personality.
