are RTB's always this aggressive?

i have a baby bci rtb. she is about 6 months old and is still pretty aggressive. she has mellowed some but she still keeps me on my toes when i hold her and as shes growing that bite is gettin bigger and bigger. I still try and handle her every day. So i just wanna hear from some other owners out there if rtb's get more docile as they grow or if they are just a more aggressive breed of snake

Well my RTB is about a year and a half. She is very docile. Is yours wild by any chance? It also depends on the snake. I have a baby BP that is very aggressive. I would just continue to hold her maybe 3 times a week and she should start to settle down. From the RTBs I have handled they usually aren't very agressive. I think you have an acception.

My only semi agressive boas are the hog island and sonoran desert boas. Even with the hissing and striking, they will calm down once I get them out of their tubs and in my hands. I have seen very few boas personally that won't calm down with lots of handling. Some may still be pissy but once you get them out of their enclosures, they usually calm down after a couple minutes. The only boa I have seen to date raised from a c.b.b. baby and never calmed down at all was a single female firebelly honduran boa.

So I suppose the best thing to do is going to the petshop and handling all of the little babies RTB and picking up the most docile one. A healthy one of courese.That is what I'm gonna do since I wanna buy me one

i will just keep taking the hits i guess. hopefully she will mellow out soon tho cuz her head is gettin pretty big HAHA
