Re: Another "what to get next" thread..

    Hi,

If it's the super form of the cinnies you like would black pastels be a better choice for the darker super?

The super cinnies I've seen seem to be brown rather than dark gray or black and the black pastels have a nicer super in my eyes (though I prefer the look of cinnies over blacks? - maybe I'm just nuts).

I think, if you decide on a cinnie, buy a high quality girl. Not those, 'just barely' cinnies. But one that will knock your socks off. I strongly believe in one.

But if you wanted to go a little more mula, I would recommend a hypo. They are just so stunning! And you cant go wrong with them, even though you have to wait a little longer. Pastel-hypo-spiders anyone???

If you really have your heart set on either Mojaves or Cinnamons, what I would do is get 0.1 Mojave and 0.1 Cinnamon. The girls will take a few more years to grow up and by then the males will be even cheaper then they are now. (If thats even possible )

I like hypos. I would really want one that'd stay bright orange into adulthood.. I have seen many that seemed to dull out.
I might just start off with a cinny female. But yes, I want a really cool looking one with a distinctive pattern..
Why does this have to be so tough! Limited funds.. I should get a flippin' business loan and just get them all.. lol.

Re: Another "what to get next" thread..

I don't know why cinnys have never impressed they all seem to look "normal" when they are adults. Whats the fun in that. Pewter are pretty, but i still wouldn't get one. On the other hand blue eyes luecistic are one of the most amazing snakes out there. They are so clean looking and unique. And yes pastel mojave look pretty cool to me. I love the eyes on the sides of them. Hypos on the other hand are ok. But Honeybees (you already have a spider) are one of my favorite morphs the all time favorite being spider albinos. Either way don't get something for what it "can do" or what others like or think you should like. Get something that if you can't breed it for the next 4 years you will still be overwhelmed by its beauty. If you decide on that and that alone you can NEVER go wrong. Good luck hunting. Thinking of possiblities at work to waste time is the best thing you can do. I as well did that all day long, ha.

Re: Another "what to get next" thread..

That is my issue! I have seen exceptional cinnies with weird patterns that set them apart. But I am not stunned by their beauty really, in general. I would just see them as a stepping-stone to a solid-colored brown snake that I think is reallly cool. Kind of similar to people that get hets generally; they are not buying them for their outstanding colors or patterns (though normals have a huge array of patterns and individuality.) They are buying normal looking snakes with the goal of producing morphs.
I feel a bit impatient but yes, I agree that I want something that'll knock my socks off, Now. If I were willing to wait, I'd go with some pied hets.. but I have a friend who's working with 1.1 and breeding them next year, so that'll probably be my venue for pied-ability.
Now I like hypos, but I don't want one that'll dull out in years to come. Anyone have some hints on how to judge them (as in, judging young pastels by the amount of orange that turns into brown-outs mostly..)? I want some BRIGHT orange in my collection!

Hmmm, well I agree with the thought of one cinnamon and one mojave. Then again I am partial to the mojave/spider cross so that may be influencing my thinking. I am in the same boat Gin, I have no idea what is next as there are 3 or 4 that I want badly.
