In the hood the Michael Vick situation is commonly viewed as the railroading of an innocent man.The argument is that dog fighting as a sport is the equivalent of deer hunting for other segments of society.The idea of feeling compassion for animals is seen as madness (because after all they are just animals)and it is believed that certain people just couldnt stand to see Mr Vick doing so well for himself and felt compelled to bring him down. I am in no way supporting this position but I am attempting to explain the way that Mr Vicks supporters see the situation.

F' Them. Animal fighting is cruel and ILLEGAL. Do they eat the dogs after they are killed, or quickly put the injured ones out of their misery, then eat them? I hope not.

I laugh at some peoples posts about mike vick should die and hope he gets to be someones b*tch in prison. even that he was not a good football player. Even if you hate him you have to agree that he was a rare tallent so dont even bring that up. The reason everyone hates him so much is because they were dogs and everyone loves dogs (accept me) if he was fighting and killing any other animal no one would give a crap. The thing that i dont get and am glad he got caught for and should go to jail for is lying multiple times under oath. about the dogs and marryjane, what an idiot.

LOL. Comparing dogfighting, to deer hunting? comparing senseless, cruel violence with much suffering (done the right way in dogfighting..) To the quick kill, economical food gain by the hunter (done again, the right way, in hunting.) Ridiculous.
I am so glad that this criminal is serving some time for doing what is not only legally wrong, but twisted and cruel too. I am by no means a bland conservative who blindly supports laws. There are many things out there that are considered to be illegal that I have no problems with when they are regulated. But fighting two animals for human sadism and gain? No flippin' way.

well than the "hood" needs to spend less time fighting animals and come up with some better arguments. Those are the weakest attemps i have ever seen. deer hunting? there just animals? and of course we cant stand to see a boy from the hood do well (WEAK!) keep trying lol

If I went to someone who did not care for animals they would still think that killing a dog for sport is wrong. now that some person, killing snakes for fun (roundups) or even fighting roosters. are they really going to care?

figurativly speaking, i did not mean no person at all. next time i will be more clear.

If he was fighting and killing any other animal only a small majority of animal lovers like people on this site would give a crap, majority of the world would not care. how is that?
