could mIxing your ball pythons together in the same enclosure for long periods of time cause them to get IBD'S?

Re: Ibd
No....UNLESS...one of the snakes being introduced to the collection already had IBD. That being said...the causes of it are not well known, but it's something they catch from another snake that has it...not something that developes due to poor husbandry like a respiratory infection might.
WHY would you "mix your ball pythons together in the same enclosure for long periods of time"???

Re: Ibd
ive noticed you asking a lot of questions about your snakes housing together. did you read any of the other responses. with all the risks why would you house them all together.

Re: Ibd
Housing snakes together allows for the easy transmission of IBD if one of the snakes already has it. Even being in the SAME ROOM with an IBD infected snake can cause another animal to catch it. That's one reason why good quarantine practices are so critical.

Yes, they certainly can be. RI's are caused by a number of different things...could be bacterial or viral...and many of those can be contagious.
