shedding again
So the blood has gained around 700+ grams since his last shed. And everything is going good.
My question is. With his humidity as high as it is (80%+) And even with ball pythons. After they shed; how long should the humidity be kept elevated?
I've always just woke up and cleaned the shed up. Cleaned tubs yada yada yada. And dropped the humidity to normal.
But I read somewhere the humidity should be kept elevated for a few days afterwards. Any truth to this?

Re: shedding again
I have never heard of this. We have always just dropped the humidity back to normal after sheds. Of course, Jade and onyx both have access to soak when they want. Onyx has been soaking more often lately with the huge drop in humidity lately. We are actually moving everyone over to cyprus for the winter... unfortunately no one friggan carries just cyprus mulch right now. Blends galore. :/

Re: shedding again
Well I just wanted to ask. His last shed was in pieces. So I'm hoping this one goes a little better.
Does 700+ grams of weight gain in roughly 2 months between his last shed and this one seem alright?

Re: shedding again
When was the last time he pooed? Jade shot up from something like 540 to 800 in 1 month. But then she shed and pooped, back to 600 something. So I dont think it's unusual when they hold everything in.
What size feed prey and how often?
If he starts looking fat, you might want to cut back on feeding size or schedule it farther apart.
