    It's been 5 weeks 5 offerings

OK well i know that doesnt explain much but i was wondering. its been 5 weeks and ive tried 5 times to feed my biggest female montana again tonite but to no avail. i figure its part of hibernation. but all my other pythons are eating just fine. i mean yea she has had a winter season under her belt. but its does worry me though i am not seeing signs of weight loss or dehydration should i keep offering every week or should i just wait till feb march. any info would be appricated kinda freaks me out that its been 5 weeks and this is the first time shes ever gone off feed.

i would prolly try at least every week. i mean it cant hurt to try to feed her. and if she has the option every week, i would imagine she would eat when shes ready.

ill ask the question everyone asks on posts like this....

    what are your temps? humidity?

temps are 92 on the hot side during the day cool side is at a constint 80. at night i drop the temps 10 degrees and my humidity sits at 55 - 65.

i have 7 bp's and all have moonlight glow lights set at a very low light just for some light but not much heat and i have heating pads on thermostats. 2 hides one on cool one on hotside. and i do spray my tank down for montana since she doesnt drink from the water bowl she licks the drops of water off the tank glass which i keep the tanks and tubs as "hospital" clean as i can

only time i move her tank or things in the tank is when i go to clean it and i spot clean every time they shed or go to the bathroom but im not about to move a 40 gallon breeder tank for fun its where its at and thats where its staying lol

and the only time i move anythign is when i go to take her water bowl out to empty and clean it which shouldnt really disturb her since she hisses at me when i go to put her back in the tank. and she starts crawlin up my arm again

    Re: It's been 5 weeks 5 offerings

ok well ill just keep tryin every week i guess kinda sux cuz shes the only bp i have right now that will take small rats all my others are on rat pups.

montana will be 3 this april. and my others will be about a year to a year and half in april.

its kinda funny though when i take her out ill have her out for a lil bit of time here and there but anytime i put her in she sounds like a deflatting tire and as soon as her belly touches the substrat she trys to climb up my arm again to get out. she likes being handled i guess. and when im in my room she will follow me back and forth in her tank and try to get my attention

Just a couple things I'm thinking from reading your posts:

Why is there 10 degree temp drop? Also when you hear sound she makes is it a wheezing sound or hissing? The first thing I would be listening/watching for is a respiratory infection which may or may not be related to the feeding issues.
