    How long you guys leave it on for... i just switched from light to the uth so im not sure...

    24/7... but you should connect it to a thermostat or at least a rheostat.

    Yep, that's why you need the dimmer or t-stat. Just plugging in the UTH to a wall, it gets to around 115 degrees. The control device lowers that to the temp you need to keep the warm side around 92-93 and you leave it on all the time.
