    ...mites

I found mites on one of my snakes. I'm going to get some provent-a-mite and start treatment ASAP. I just have one question. Can I bake the climbing branch/log to kill the mites? If I can what temp should I bake it at and how long?

No. Just take the snake and water dish into another room. spray the whole enclosure like the instructions say. Let the vapours dry up for about 10 mins, just to be safe. make sure you wash your hands before holding your snake, just to be on the safe side. But remmeber DO NOT spray the snake nor the water dish. Everything else is fine. No baking needed.

    Hope that helps

Just one ? are they wood mites or snake mites. I have just made the redent discovery that a bag of bedding i got had mites in it which sucks but the PAM killed all of those with no issues, and from now on i will be treating all of my bedding before it gets placed in there homes.
