Some thoughts...
Talked to Robin for a bit tonight, and during our conversation she mentioned possibly having to put one of her breeder rats down. I was humbled by her compassion for this rodent &, and it again reminded me how we must all treat each living thing with respect, regardless of its status as predator or prey.
Think of how lucky we are folks, to be able to raise snakes as well as the animals with which we feed them. There are reptile enthusiasts all over the world who *don't* have this opportunity that we sometimes take for granted.
Not In Vain
If I can stop one heart from breaking,
I shall not live in vain;
If I can ease one life the aching,
Or cool one pain,
Or help one fainting robin
Unto his nest again,
I shall not live in vain.

May each of us go into this following week with thanks in our hearts, and goals to fulfill!

Beautiful sentiment and a good reminder, especially at this time of year, Kara. That quote is one of my personal favorites, always puts me in mind of my grandmother whose spirit it perfectly describes.

Thank you Deborah! The feeling is mutual! We have GOT to get together sometime soon - it's a sin that we're so close to each other and see so little of each other!
