I wouldnt really purchase from a petstore. 200$ is a good price for one from say Jeff Hartwig or the bloodline.net. They arent terribly expensive, I just prefer to know mine is parasite free and CB. Also VPI Is going to have some bloods, I dont know if they have any sumatrans Short tails right now.

Also, are you set on a Sumatran short tail? They come in 2 head colors, the light head and dark head. They will both get dark, but the light head I guess more "browns" while the dark head can turn a thick dark black.
The sumatran ST are the smallest of the 3 species (I think, borneo might actually be smaller, I cant remember)

The bloods or malaysian are big, beautiful red stunning animals.

Personally, my next purchase will probably be a marble Borneo. I love the coloring and that pattern. I would like to get him from thebloodline.net.

Also, if you just want to ogle some bloods, go over to NERDS forums. There are some great pics up in their blood section.
