When I saw the close-up of her head, the first thought was "gorgeous eyes". The next immediate thought was that she looks like just a gi-huge-ic version of Felix, my Stimson's.

She is stunning, her eyes remind me of my Macklotts. If Olives are anything like Macklotts, they are def. on my want list. Is she really iridescent in the sun?

That is one stunning snake. Do they reach that size generally, or get any bigger? I know that it is hard to generalize, but how are they temperament-wise generally?

thanks, mine is very friendly, probably more so than any of my other snakes, but at the same time, she's really food aggressive, so you have to be careful about that... overall she's my favorite snake that I have to interact with...

From what I've found, this subspecies ranges from 8-12 ft, and then the barroni olives get larger, up to 14-15 ft I think? She's between 9-10' now, and she's only 5 years old and they grow pretty slowly, so she's still growing, but I'm not expecting a whole lot more... they don't hit sexual maturity until 4-6 years...

sure is, I really want to try to get her to someone that's going to try to breed her... as much as I love her, I would love even more for someone to increase the number of these great snakes available... and I don't have the time or resources to invest further into an olive project...
