Savu Pythons?

Does anyone have or know anything about Savu Pythons? The local pet store in my area has one and i got to see it the other day. it was a baby but very quick and aggressive. It was constantly striking towards anything that walked past it.
So does anyone have knowledge or experience on this little guy like do they settle down in temperment? how big do they get? etc?

No experience with the Savu, but I had a Macklott's that was 6'. Not particularly aggressive, but always very alert. She had a very strong feeding response that would include striking the tank if you walked by on feeding day.

Savus are generally aggressive as babies. They grow out of it when they reach adulthood, but with plenty of handling you can calm the baby down.

They max out around 4 feet and make excellent captives for those with space restraints. My Savus were kept in blanket boxes on newspaper subtrate with a good sized water bowl.

They like to burrow and they like to swim.

One thing I should mention... they are incredibly strong! Even though they are small, it is still a good idea to have a second person around when handling an adult. They will get both of your hands into *handcuffs* and cover their tail with their body. Almost impossible to get them off without help, lol. My adult female had gotten herself between my fingers and around my wrist one day. She tightened down so hard she bent my pinky finger back and almost broke it. Thank goodness Morti was there to help me get her off! So keep that in mind, too.

They really are fun snakes to keep.

Savus will max at at around 4 - 4 1/2 ft.
They are very aggresive as youngsters but settle down a bit as they get older and attain some size.
They change color as well. They will start orange and grow to a gun-metal gray color.
I have never had a problem with my trio and should have a few babies hatching out just after Thanksgiving.

Ditto on the aggressiveness as a baby! The one we had in our store would strike at anything that passed by and when I was photographing him one day, he got so mad and coiled so tight, he would fall over backwards. Once you got him out, he calmed down quite a bit though.
They are beautiful snakes. I love the terra cotta orange/red they have as babies.
