I guess my general rule that houseguests don`t stay long when they are housed in the snake room wouldn`t work in this case.

You are welcome anytime... even without snakes. Although if you brought a bag or two I wouldn`t turn you away.

But I am not sure much French would happen, when we could be talking about other things.
