Seconed interview!!

I made a slight comment in another person's topic that I had applied for another position. Well just moments ago I received an email from that Technology Director...and he wants to see me again next week! On monday of this week I interviewed with this Director and 3 other administrators from the school district. The funny thing was I was they told me it would take about 30 minutes when we started. Well somehow I had gotten through their 2+ pages of questions they where taking turns asking me...in like 10-15 minutes! I was half worried I went through them to quickly but they where the general interview questions and the answers just came out without hesitation.

The job duties wouldn't be to different than where I'm at now, actually I would have less responsibilities but the work volume would likely be more. Nothing I can't handle though, it was only 3.5yrs ago that I was a one man technology department running things for a whole school district. The things I am excited about are being back in a school district, and of course the pay increase. Money doesn't make happiness directly but my wife and I are in the process of selling our home and moving into a new area. If we can afford a little bit nicer of a home, maybe a little bigger, it will lead some very happy things for us

Well its been an "interesting" few days leading up to today to say the least. I'm excited about my interview this afternoon...debated on going in a costume but thought better of it I do have a new Sponge Bob tie that says "chicks dig me" but somehow that didn't seem appropriate for an educational staff person such as myself to be wearing....but I WILL find an occasion!

The day started out well There is a person who travels the same road my wife and I do every morning driving like a maniac. This "person" is usually 15-20+ miles over the limit and the road is a back road surrounded by fields (full of deer) and they have general disregard for those yellow lines in the middle of the road. This morning as we came an intersection it was just in time to see a sheriff turn on to our road speed off to pull that sucker over! WOHOO we where a ways back so I'm not sure if they got nailed for speeding and/or not stopping at the intersection but I rolled by and we where laughing our rear ends off...someone finally got what they deserved!

I hate people that drive like that..........no respect for anybody else! I'm glad he got pulled over, i hope they take his license!

So my interview last week went ok, was again very short as I fired off my answers but everyone seemed satisfied. I tried to put it out of my mind the rest of the week but decided I would send a follow up email to the tech director Sunday night. Well this afternoon, minutes before I was about to head home he emailed me back. He asked me to come see him at his office tomorrow for a one on one. His note also implied they had narrowed the candidates down again so this may not be the come in and hash out the details of your new job meeting just yet but its very promising.
