Caught soaking
Ok, I probably know the answer to this already, but figured I would ask the wonderful experts here
I just walked in and found Nagini soaking in her water bowl. It's kinda cute to see her all curled up in there with just her head on the edge, but I know soaking isn't really something they should be doing. I see no signs of mites, and I believe she's in there because my humidity has been really low lately, around 41-45, and I've been so busy studying for a Chemistry test tomorrow that I've forgotten to spray the tank the past day or two. *Slaps hand*
So, am I right in thinking it's probably the low humidity that has her in there? I'll go ahead and treat her cage tomorrow with PAM since it's been over a month since the last treatment if you guys advise it. Ideas and thoughts are most welcome. Thanks.

Re: Caught soaking
Not an expert by far, but I notice mine will soak on the rare occassion. Usually it's if I've fed a bit of a larger meal, or right before a shed. If you've had a mite problem prior, then I would go ahead and retreat as a precautionary measure.

Re: Caught soaking
Or put her in a pillowcase if she doesn't like her feeding tub. All it takes is a light misting of the P.A.M., which doesn't take long to completely dry!

Mine will soak when there are getting ready to shed. My oldest males does it the most. He has never had mites and to my knowledge has not suffered at all from soaking. In my experience its normal and I wouldn't worry.
