    Anyone here own any Dwarfs?

Just curious... I'm new to the whole snake, but I love the burmese and retics. My friend a while back had a 14 foot burmese which was pretty awesome now that I think back. However in reality they would be a little much for me (at least within the next several years). If anyone does own any dwarfs, I'd love to see pictures or here any feedback. This is just one of several ideas for my next snake(which most likely won't come for another year or so). Anyway. My ears and eyes are open...

We keep a Jampea dwarf retic. He's approx 2.5 years old and the size of a yearling normal sized retic.

Wow, that is a gorgeous snake. How big do those normally get. I've tried searching around, but have gotten many different answers. Man, I want one now. How is his temperment?

He's usually fine once out of his enclosure. Full grown sizes are debatable. There are some pure dwarfs that still get 12-14 feet. He shouldn't get much bigger than 8 feet, tho, being male We hope.... hehe

I need to get updated pics of him. He's really turning silver, such a gorgeous boy.

That's what I've heard also their regarding size also. I'd love to see some more pics when you get 'em.

Do dwarf Burmese Pythons really exist I've read thing here and there, but haven't been able to find pics or people with them.

I think they do... I've seen pics and they don't look the same as *normals* just like the dwarf retics. They just aren't quite readily available yet.... as far as I know....

Yes, they exist. They are very different looking than a normal Burmese enough so that I would bet they are a different subspecies.

They are still a bit hard to locate as there have been no captive breedings here in the States, yet!

The last clutch of dwarf burms produced in the US was in 2003. There is a guy that produces them in the United Kingdom and I do know that Jim Mason of Bebos-Burms will be trying to produce some this year. My husband has seen them in person and says they are crazy looking.

Bebo is a good friend of mine. In fact, he was the first one to produce super dwarfs here in the States. But according to him, there has been no dwarf burms produced in the States yet.
