Better? I should have but DUW on this... Sorry. I'm pretty sure the purple spot was a bruise. Other than that he seems to be well cared for (not that that's the owner's fault necessarily).

He's here. He's taken one meal and I handled him yesterday for the first time after 10 days of settling in. This little guy is awesome! After I got him out of his tub (he thrashed around a lot while I was trying), he totally calmed down and crawled around on my hand and just chilled.

Yay! I'm already having dreams of a female anery to pair with him... Will have to wait a bit on that.

Glad to hear things went well for you! Now that you've got him home any more ideas on what the 'birthmark' might be?

Well, it's not there anymore. The last bit of his tail is a different texture than the rest of his body, which I've heard is common or the norm, maybe it had something to do with that? But the purple is gone.

Little punk wouldn't eat yesterday, but other than that he's doing pretty well. I think he's getting ready to shed, but I can't quite tell since I'm not familiar with his color.
