    Quarantine procedure

I just bought two female cresties from some breeders in the White Plains show (WOOT WOOT) and I'm wondering how long I should keep them separately before I can put them in the same terrarium together. They came from separate breeders who routinely exchanged stock together, so I'm wondering if it's pretty much a nonissue.

    Re: Quarantine procedure

I'd quarantine just as a precautionary measure. There probably won't be a problem, but it's better to be safe than sorry. I quarantine all my reptiles for 3 months, but that's just what I'd do.

    Re: Quarantine procedure

... Already put them in together, I figured it wouldn't be a problem and I just realized I was one cage short. I'm going to get another tank tomorrow and follow your advice. I don't know if there are any herp vets around here to do a fecal sample though, so I was wondering if any of you know of a herp vet that will take poop throught the mail.

God I feel like a noob now. Oh well. Thank you for your advice though, I appreciate it a lot.

    Re: Quarantine procedure

Any vet should be able to perform a fecal. Although I wouldn't trust a non herp vet to prescribe meds though. I'd confirm dosage with someone else more experienced.
