since they are so heavy there isn't much risk of the aquariums falling.

Re: crestie enclosures...
I've found a 12x12x18 is an ideal setup for a single crested gecko. It affords a lot more visibility than a ten gallon turned on its side and it has nice front opening doors. I rotate a couple plants in and out of it, he sometimes tramples them, and they don't do so well if they're just left in there. I also use a lot of manzanita and twiggy branches, which he REALLY appreciates.

Re: crestie enclosures...
i like those tanks with the 2 front swinging doors, i would like to get one of those for my crestie. but the only problem is cresties are so cool, i might have to get another once i find out if grendel is a male of female, and if she's a she i would buy a sexed buddy for her.

Re: crestie enclosures...
Kagez, I've read that a 20 gallon is ideal for a breeding tank and exo terra makes a tank that's 18"^3, which is around 21 gallons. Right now they're not so expensive, so I might go with that.
Also, the front opening doors are SO nice to use. They've made my life a lot easier. I used a 10 gallon on its side as a breeding tank for a pair of psalmopoeus, but it had limited access and even more limited viewing abilities.

Re: crestie enclosures...
Right now the closest Petco to me has the 12x12x18 exoterras marked down to 29.99 from 79.99 I picked a few up, unsure if this is all over or just there though.
