    Crested Geckos?

Well I've recently thinned out my reptile collection so that I've kept only a few that I really enjoy and would much rather spend my time caring for. With that being said, I cleared a few extra spots in hopes of making room for crested geckos (always been a HUGE fan of 'em and love the way they lick their eyes and hop around). I've actually got two cages set up in the instance I decide to buy a few of them, and each cage environment is perfectly in harmony with all the caresheets floating around. The question is which are the neatest and should I get an adut, a sub-adult, or a baby? I personally love the patternless ones, but for the life of me I cannot find them for sale anywhere lol
    Well that's interesting...

try pangeareptiles.com they have some killer cresties. also try kingsnake.com classifieds there are always some on there.

as for the hatchling/juvie/adult it really just depends on what you want. a baby is going to be more jumpy and need a smaller enclosure. the older you get you are going to be able to tell the sex.

find one you like and take it from there...

    Re: Crested Geckos?

hatchlings are jumpier, juvies are jumpy but not so much as hatchlings and adults can be anywhere between off the wall jumpy to zen calm. i have found that adults that were never handled much as juvies can be insane to handle, if not impossible. that said, i'd recommend a crested in the 2-4 month old range that you can handle and tame down over time or an adult that you can handle before you buy it (like at a show) or from a reputable breeder who can advise you whether the gecko in question is calm and easily handled.

as far as which are the neatest, well that really is just up to you and what you like best.
