Hi, I have a 6 foot RTB which I got from a Fireman. The Fireman found him on a call, his name is Lord Pistachio, he is a very spunky snake. He doesn’t chill on my neck for long because his wonder lust takes over and he does his Superman act and tries to launch himself from my neck (don’t worry I always have a firm grip on him).
When I let him roam the house or outside with supervision he practices his spiderman act and tries to climb the walls. He is a really strong fellow because he can get most of his body up a wall before he starts to teeter backwards (don’t worry I watch him and am always ready to catch him should he fall) He also likes to reach up and try to grab the top of doorways so I am always aware of where he is in relation to doors and objects.
Anyhow my question is are all RTB this way.
He is very friendly and usually crawls to me when I put him on the grass for stretch and exercise. I take him out and let him roam in the sun while I watch him to make sure he doesn’t get into bushes or holes.
The only time he changes is when I feed him, and he has super sharp senses because I can walk into a room with a rat and he knows right away. I open the glass sliding door and hold the dead rat by the tail and he snaps it right out of my hand (which is at the tip of the rats tail safe from accidental biteage)
He is a very spunky boy full of energy and wonder lust. He has never gotten out of his cage as I have a sliding lock. He is strong and heavy but very beautiful especially in the sun. His scales are prismatic rainbow in the sun. I will post a pic of him soon.
Are all RTB’s like this?
