    itchy?

From time to time I'll notice Jimmy dragging his nose along the subtrate or against things, but he isnt shedding. I took a close look and noticed his heat pits looked red/orangish. What's he doing?

On a side note, his tail curls up lately too, is that bad?

    Thanks!

As far as the red heat pits, i have no experience with that. However i notice my bp's tails from time to time curling up like that and a poop soon follows.... I hope someone pops in to tell you what the red heat pits mean. I have never seen that.

What substrate are you using? Anything red (that shouldn't be red) is usually a sign of inflamation...which could be substrate (or something else) in his pits that he is trying to get out?

nothing that comes to mind, it doesnt look like anything is stuck in them. But i will expiriment and put a different subtrate in; a green felt-ish carpet type thing.

not that I can see... I switched his substrate and seems to have stopped 'itching', but his heat pits are still the bright orangish-red. I'll keep all posted...
